....And its only the beginning

Today was only the start of whats to come. A tiny peak of what our lives as nursing students will be. Not just being responsible for knowing material, but applying it "critically"and  in the correct order. WOW!
I'm super excited and scared to death all in the same breath.

and also, yes. the financial assistance that me and sassy both wrote about was grants. grants and loans. you should look at your eaglenet and see if any of the "awards" have been "credited" - - - i am not sure they will be able to disburse any money until thy can confirm our attendance in those classes that we will be attending in the 2ed 8 weeks...what i am not sure of is wether or not from that point disbursement will happen in a timely fashion...or a very delayed fashion, as it generally does at TCC.
they ONLY thing i really miss about FSU was that loans got dispursed the second week of school - for everyone at the same time. (though this is a specific situation and it may have affected it there, here, or anywhere...)
    - The curriculum change seems to be a good idea. i am glad that it seems to be chuncked up per semester...i think it will be easier that we will be eased into the program in this manner...BUT, the credit hour situation is an issue...
-Dr. Nied said that the main issue is that there is a state (law or mandate) that says that nursing programs can not exceed 42 credit hours total...So, the semesters are 11,10,10,11 - - whichmeans that we should get 11/12 of the full time amount of financial aidl (loans and grants) money (or 10/12). Soo, this seems manageable... But, she was not informed that there would be a delay in our getting the money.
-Also, the labs from the second 1/2 of the semester technically are 0 credit hours and the financial aid office said they will not be covered by grants/loans.
-yeah, so I'll stop blabbing on and on about it...and just hope that it gets resolved in a efficient manner.
